Wabash Police Operation Pull Over 2024

WABASH, IN- As the Wabash City Police Department concludes the current session of Operation Pull Over (OPO), they want to share the impact of targeted enforcement efforts on community safety. The Wabash Police Department is committed to providing exceptional service, security, and safety to the community.
Officers are on duty around the clock, every day of the year, and focused enforcement periods have shown tangible results. Over the past few months, they have targeted key issues such as impaired driving, stop arm violations, and speeding, resulting in impressive outcomes.
In total, officers worked 280 shifts. During those shifts, every 25.76 hours equated to one DUI arrest.
Throughout these shifts, they conducted 2,007 enforcement actions, with about 70.4% resulting in warnings for various offenses. They also made 72 criminal arrests for various offenses such as drug possession and operating while intoxicated.
Additionally, officers issued citations for violations related to child restraint systems, licensing, excessive speeding, running red lights, and other offenses.
