Wabash Valley Dance Theater pleased to offer Ballroom Dance classes and Yoga this Fall

WABASH, IN- Wabash Valley Dance Theater (WVDT) is excited to announce fall offerings for ballroom dance and yoga! Whether you’re looking to learn something new, improve your dance skills, or simply have fun, these classes offer a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get moving. Ballroom classes are taught by Matthew S. Smith, owner of Art of Dance Warsaw. With over two decades of experience in martial arts and dance, Matthew has a deep passion for self-mastery and helping others achieve their full potential. He will guide participants through the basics of these classic dance styles, ensuring that everyone, regardless of experience, feels comfortable and has a great time. There is no partner required. Ballroom Class Schedule: Classes take place at Wabash Valley Dance Theater, 58 West Canal Street in Wabash from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on the following Sundays:
  • September 29, Fox Trot
  • October 13, Fox Trot
  • October 27, Fox Trot
  • November 10, Rumba
  • November 24, Rumba
  • December 15, Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and Dancing
Pricing:
  • Adults: $15 per class
  • WVDT Students (ages 12-18): $5 per class
Additionally, WVDT will be offering a gentle yoga class on Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Yoga will be taught by Kaleigh Middelkoop, a Wabash local who you may recognize for her photography in downtown Wabash. Middelkoop has been practicing yoga for over ten years and is now teaching classes focusing on deep stretching and restorative poses crafted for those looking to slow down and take intentional time to nurture both the mind and body. This class is perfect for absolute beginners wanting to try yoga for the first time, as well as more experienced yogis looking to deepen their practice. Classes will leave participants feeling refreshed and rejuvenated on and off the mat. Yoga is $35/month or $15 drop-in. Classes will take place on the following Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m at WVDT through December 2024. Register for class online at wabashvalleydance.org.
