Wallace Keith Dean

Wallace Keith Dean passed away December 7 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, surrounded by his loving family.
Keith was born September 8, 1936 at Parkdale, Arkansas to Wesley O. Dean and Pauline Bell Vaughan. He was married to Marilyn Scroll who preceded him in death.
He loved his family and many, many friends. He was proud to have served his country as a U.S. Marine. Keith worked for the Ford Garage and Body Shop for several years until he built his own body shop. He was very creative and artistic. He loved to design and customize Mustang cars which he would enter in car shows.  He won many, many awards for his cars. Recently, one of his customized cars was purchased by Richard Rawlings, owner of the Gas Monkey tv show-and featured on the show. He was a member of the Kustom Kings Car Club for years and had many club friends. He also liked to watch NASCAR racing. Keith was a talented singer and bass guitar player for several bands for many years. He loved music, especially country music.
Keith is survived by one son, Brian (Patty) Dean, one daughter, Wendy Martin, three sisters; Elizabeth (David) Higgins, Logansport, Linda (Larry) Stephens, Logansport, George Anna Mock (Steve Phebus), Brookston, one brother, Paul Vaughan, Logansport, step-dad, Spence Vaughan, Logansport, and many nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, George W. Dean, and one sister, Glenda Rans.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Keith’s nephew, Jim Moore, officiating. Internment will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
Military rites will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
