Warren M. Hardwick, 84, of Peru, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru.
He was born on June 20, 1940 to Rennaker A. and Kathryn A. (Puterbaugh) Hardwick in Miami County, Indiana. Warren was a 1959 graduate of Somerset High School. He married Lois E. Myers on June 19, 1960 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 1966. Warren then married Patricia “Pat” L. (Moseley) Cole on May 10, 1968 and she survives.
Warren grew up a farmer and worked on the family farm until it was sold in 1995. He then went to work and retired from the Miami County Highway Department. He was a co-owner of Hardwick Bros. Garage and Hardwick Bros. Trucking. He also worked as a mechanic at Wiese Olds in Kokomo, Indiana for many years. After retirement Warren and Pat enjoyed 12 years of being snowbirds in Palmetto, Florida. He spent many hours doing word find puzzles and watching “old” TV shows.
Warren is survived by his wife, Pat, children: Dana Ribble of Peru, Indiana, Kerry (Donald) Earle of Marion, Illinois, and Phillip Lee of Southern, Indiana, grandchildren: Joe (Aimi) Ribble, Nick (Amanda) Ribble, Derek (Jessica) Davies, Andrea Batdorf, Kayla Knight, and Daniel Knight, and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters-in-law: Carolyn (Ronald) Waters, Nancy (Tom) Gates, and Shirley Kerns; brother-in-law David Payne; special nephew Greg (Debbie) Hardwick and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Lois, brother Glen Hardwick, son-in-law Curtis Ribble, and a nephew Tim Hardwick.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Larry Zehring officiating. Burial will take place at Salem Cemetery.
