William "Brian" Pearson, 67, of Marion, passed away at 12:11 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Services in Indianapolis. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Thursday, May 9, 1957, to William and Gloria (Markley) Pearson. He married Cynthia “Cyndi” A. Scott, who survives.
Brian graduated from Marion High School in 1975 and was most recently self-employed for 14 years with Aging At Home Gracefully. Previously, he worked at Marion Lumber, Bell Fibre, and The Center for Sports and Physical Therapy, where he directed two divisions: the Center for Ergonomics and Injury Prevention and Work Evaluation and Recovery. He also served as a manager and director for Home Helpers.
Brian enjoyed scuba diving and had an engineering mind. He loved building and fixing things, and he invented devices to make people’s stay at home more manageable and comfortable. He was also interested in horses, and he enjoyed managing sound engineering for his brother-in-law, Ben. Brian had a deep love for God, his children, and music. He also served as Trustee for his church, CWC.
Survivors include his father, William "Bill" J. Pearson of Marion; wife, Cynthia “Cyndi” A. Pearson of Marion; sons, Heath (Bridget) Pearson of Baltimore, MD, and Drew (Jessica) Pearson of Marion; daughter, Brittney (Darrell Armstead) Pearson of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Nevaeh; grandsons, Carter, Lyndon, and Wilder; sisters, Janet Pearson of Marion and Judy (Charlie) Cox of Syracuse; and nephew, Chaz Cox of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Pearson.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon on Friday, October 18, 2024, at College Wesleyan Church, 200 E. 38th St., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the visitation, a service to celebrate Brian’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Steve DeNeff officiating. Entombment will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
