William Lewis Hunnicutt, 78, of Marion, passed away at 6:53 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born in Huntington County, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 25, 1947, to Morris and Helen (Smith) Hunnicutt. On September 13, 1993, he married Deborah (Ellis), who survives.
Bill graduated from Warren High School in 1965 and worked at Dana Corp. in Quality Control for 32 years. After retirement from Dana, he worked at Arbor Trace Golf Course for several years. He loved playing golf, enjoyed watching and attending Colts games and watching college football. He loved his family and was a good friend to many.
Along with his wife, Deborah Hunnicutt of Marion, he is also survived by his son, William David (Dawn) Hunnicutt of Fort Wayne; daughters, Dannielle Hunnicutt of Weatherford, TX, Heather (Rich) Burleson of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Randy (Dedra) Ellis of Gas City; grandchildren, Zachary, Ethan, Jorden; and great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Reaghan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Helen Hunnicutt; stepson, Ryan Muncy; and brother, Robert Hunnicutt.
The family will host a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the First Christian Church of Warren 202 E. 2nd St., Warren, IN.
