William Lloyd Hyden

William Lloyd Hyden, 87, of Bybee, Tennessee, formerly of Wabash, Indiana, died at 3:07 pm, Friday, January 5, 2024, at his daughter's home in Bybee.  He was born on April 10, 1936, in Auxier, Kentucky, to Taylor and Martha (Hatfield) Hyden.

William worked at Wabash Alloys, retiring after 34 years, and was a member of the Boilermakers Union. He was also a member of the Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church. William loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing Corn Hole, repairing lawn mowers, playing cards, and going to thrift stores shopping for lost treasures. William lived in Wabash from 1950-2023 and then moved to Bybee, Tennessee.  

He is survived by his wife, Kay Hyden of Wabash; four children, Sherri (Mark) Key of Bybee, Linda (Jeff) Pope of Effingham, Illinois, Donna (Scott Weimer) Hyden of Roann, Indiana, and William "Bill" (Brandy) Hyden Jr. of Wabash; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and his two brothers, Harold (Billie) Hyden of Louden, Tennessee, and Orville Hyden of Cincinnati, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, January 12, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash with Rev. Billy Fields officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Lagro, Indiana.  Friends may call 4-7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church.
