Carolyn S. Shearer, age 64, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 7:15 pm at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She had worked at Utah, Pyles Industry, Peyton in Bluffton, Huntington Electric, Memcor, and most recently at Wilson Country Auction, Zanesville. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church where she volunteered with their food ministry. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and doing ceramics.
Carolyn was born October 22, 1954, in Huntington, the daughter of Wallace and Viola (Machmer) Shearer. She is survived by 2 daughters Candy (Shay) Brickley and Sherry (Leigh) Shively-Walden both of Huntington, 7 grandchildren Jacob Parker, Lizzie Parker, Arizona Parker, Truby Parker, Jesse Gunsolus, Dominik Gunsolus, and Nickolas Shively-Walden, 2 great grandchildren Candy Parker and Carolyn Parker, and 2 sisters Emma (Kenny) King and Tina Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Frances Pedersen.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, from 1-2 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel, preceding the 2:00 pm funeral service.
