Damaris Jeanne (Vardaman) Holloway

Damaris Jeanne (Vardaman) Holloway, 88, Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Riverwalk Village. She was born in Fishersburg, Indiana, on Monday, November 20, 1933, to Virgil and Mildred (McCoy) Vardaman.  On March 2, 1955, she married Murle “Dee” Stanley, and he preceded her on June 13, 2016.  

Damaris graduated from Wabash High School and attended Indiana Wesleyan University.

She worked as a Financial Manager for 26 years at Butterworth Industries. She was a member of Eastview Wesleyan Church and a Charter member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed housekeeping, interior design, and shopping. Her church family was super important to her, as she was a preacher’s kid all her life.  

Survivors include her daughters, Deana (Scott) Horine, Dena (Jonathan) Wilson of Noblesville; grandchildren, Carissa (Frankie) Fehsenfeld, Ryan (Porshia) Horine, Riis (McKenzie) Wilson; 5 great-grandchildren; nephews, Robert (late Suzanne) Vardaman, David (Kay) Vardaman, Tom (Lisa) Vardaman; and niece, Paula (Jeff) Luttrell.

She was preceded in death by parents, Virgil S. and Mildred Pauline Vardaman; husband, Murle “Dee” Stanley Holloway; and brother, Robert E. (Margaret) Vardaman.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Damaris’s life will begin at 6:00 pm with Pastor Noah Farmer officiating.  Burial will take place at Park Cemetery.
