Miami County Health Department has not Received New Cases of COVID-19 Today

MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The Miami County Health Department has not received any new cases in Miami County reported by the Indiana State Department of Health today, March 19. That may change over the next week, but that updated information is available each day on the ISDH website. They continue to recommend and share the basic guidelines about hand washing, disinfecting surfaces, cough hygiene, avoiding leaving one’s house if ill with any symptoms of fever, shortness of breath, or cough and social distancing measures. Call ahead to your physician office if you feel a need to be seen for any symptoms so that the nurse can triage those symptoms. The elderly should particularly be cautious about not leaving home to be in a potentially crowded situation or unnecessary contact because of their age-related adverse outcome risks. 1-877-826-0011 is the ISDH epidemiology resource line for information and questions about the Coronavirus; it is staffed 24 hours -7 days/week.
