WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – On Monday, February 12th; Southwood English Teacher Mrs. Sparling arranged a field trip for SHS freshman to see the Indiana Repertory Theater’s presentation of Romeo and Juliet.
Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet relates the events of two star-crossed lovers in Verona, Italy. After viewing the IRT version of the play, students analyzed the differences between it and the text version. Students also discussed the IRT’s use of props, music, and other factors and their contribution to the overall viewing experience.
