Timbercrest Senior Living Community’s upcoming events

NORTH MANCHESTER, IN – Timbercrest Senior Living Community will be hosting musical
events throughout the month of June. All events are open to anyone in the community who
would like to join.

Our next Patio Series will be on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the Timbercrest
Courtyard. Mike Almon and local flutist June Zinn will perform music you love from a
variety of genres, ranging from soft rock and folk to original pieces. This series will continue
throughout the warmer months.

Mike started playing the guitar in 1968 with only his “4400 guitar chords” book. He did a
few gigs in the first year with his garage band and then took a break afterwards – for 40
years. After his hiatus, he started performing his covers and originals from years ago found
on the backs of envelopes and old notebooks at local healthcare facilities and
contemporary venues. June and Mike perform as a duo at various locations, bringing joy to
many.

The Manchester Civic Band will present a patriotic performance on Wednesday, July 1st at
6:45 p.m. in the Timbercrest Assembly Room. Join us for a memorable night of live
music, the perfect way to celebrate community and our country.

The Manchester Civic Band was organized in 1972 by Harold Leckrone, Mary Lou Leckrone,
and Pat Egolf. The band continues today, featuring members varying in age, experience,
and musical background.
