Lola Marie Hehr

Lola Marie Hehr, 99, of Marion, passed away peacefully at 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Wyndmoor of Marion. She was born on April 1, 1927, in Roda, Virginia, to John and Mattie (Morgan) Day. In December 1968, Lola married John L. Hehr, who preceded her in death.

Lola dedicated more than 40 years of service to Foster Forbes, where she held a variety of positions throughout her career. Known for her strong work ethic, sharp business sense, and determination, she earned the respect of many colleagues and friends. In addition to her career, Lola successfully managed several rental properties over the years. She enjoyed attending garage sales and flea markets and took great pleasure in buying and selling a variety of items.

She is survived by her sons, Troy (Patricia) Garrett of Marion and Gale (Karen) Garrett of Monticello, Georgia; her grandchildren, Troy Garrett II of Marion, Jason (Elizabeth) Garrett of Woodstock, GA, Paige (Rubin) Beck of Jackson, GA, and Jammie (Astrid) Tedder of Marion; and six great-grandchildren.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Day; her husband, John L. Hehr; and her twelve brothers and sisters.

Family and friends may gather from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, Indiana.

Immediately following the visitation, a service celebrating Lola’s life will begin at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Marion.

Lola will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, business acumen, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
