Rebecca Lynn Kinder, 59, of Marion, Indiana, died at home on August 6, 2026.
Born in Marion on May 8, 1967, to Cecil Kinder and the late, Dixie Kinder, she graduated from Marion High School in 1985. A devoted single mother, Rebecca raised her four children – Mea, Kyle, Joshua, and Linsey – with fierce love, determination, and resilience. She worked as both a massage therapist and an EMT, always ready and willing to help others. In the community she was known as a tireless cheerleader and champion for the baseball kids, showing up and rooting for them as if they were her own.
Rebecca was a force of nature: bold, funny, tough, vibrant, and determined. She didn’t know a stranger, loved fiercely, and served as the glue in so many people’s lives. She was strong, resilient, loyal, and big-hearted – an advocate for animals who deeply loved her community. She found joy in her home and yard, going out to eat, laughing, giving advice, being around people, and especially in her dogs, who became her constant companions once her children were grown. Above all, she delighted in her grandchildren.
She is survived by her father, Cecil Kinder; her children, Mea Noble and her husband Jeremy, Kyle Kinder, Joshua Kinder, and Linsey Kinder; her nine grandchildren, Dale’Jwan, Kadyn, Cody, Jaxyn, Alexander, Ja’Kari, Ray’Von, Ellington, and Samara; and her siblings, Charlotte McClung, Patricia Parker, Stanley Kinder, and Brian Kinder.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dixie Kinder, and her stepfather, Rufus “Pig” McClung.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
