Sandra Sue Gutierrez, 72, of Marion, passed away in her home at 3:31 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026. She was born in Wabash, Indiana, on Friday, April 30, 1954, to Estel and Mary (Cloud) Stout. On Saturday, May 22, 1976, she married the love of her life, Leonard Gutierrez.
Sandra graduated from Marion High School and worked as an administrative assistant in medical records. She was a devoted woman of God and a faithful member of Lighthouse Assembly of God, where she was very involved as her faith was an important part of her life. She found great joy in being a grandmother and treasured every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and taking day trips. Above all, she will be remembered for her strong faith, loving heart, and the joy she brought to her family and those around her.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Gutierrez of Marion; sons, Matthew Gutierrez, and Mark (Kathryn) Gutierrez; grandchildren, Cora Gutierrez, Eleanor Gutierrez; and siblings, Michael (Jackie) Stout, Greg (Gladious) Stout, and Angela Stout.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estel, and Mary Stout.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Sandy’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jerry Gallaway officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
