William Thomas Hodge

William Thomas Hodge, a devoted father, grandfather, brother and proud businessman, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at the age of 72. Above all, Bill was a loving and deeply caring family man. His family was the center of his world, and he made a point of being an active, unwavering presence in their lives. Whether he was cheering from the sidelines or stepping into the dugout as an assistant coach for his daughter’s softball team, he treasured every moment spent with the people he loved.

He carried a strong work ethic and genuine passion for his career. Together with his brother, he took great pride in building and running First Way Express, a trucking company in Marion, Indiana. He poured his heart into the business, leaving a lasting legacy through the partnerships he formed and the dedication he brought to each day. His favorite moments, though, were the simple ones. He loved family trips and looked forward every year to celebrating his birthday with the family’s traditional dinner. His warmth, his guidance, and his devotion to his children and grandchildren leave behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

William is survived by his loving children, Harmony Hepler and stepdaughter, Nicole Perotta; his cherished grandchildren, Haisley, Kamden, and TJ; his brothers, Allen (Gia) Hodge and JD Hodge; his nephews, Colton (Megan) Hodge, Caleb (Kelcie) Hodge, Jason (Kylee) Hodge, Aaron (Taylor) Felty, and Seth (Rachel) Thomason; his nieces, Holli (John) Pearce and Shelli Hodge; his special friend, Teresa Hepler; and many close friends whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Gladys Hodge; his brother, Mark Hodge; and sister-in-law, Ronda Hodge.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
