PERU, IN- Case Manager Wilson of Miami Correctional Facility presented a $500 donation to Board Treasurer Debby Myers of Ole Olsen Memorial Theatre in Peru. Ole Olsen Memorial Theatre is a nonprofit community organization named in honor of John Sigvard “Ole” Olsen. “Ole” graduated from Northwestern University in 1912 with a degree in music before embarking on a career on the Vaudeville circuit. His ambition was simple: to make people laugh, and he is best known for saying, “May you live as long as you laugh, and laugh as long as you live.”
Wilson is an active volunteer with the theatre and encourages everyone to check out the upcoming shows in the new season. Supporting local arts is a great way to celebrate the history, talent, and community spirit of Peru.
