Jeff Charles Pogue, 65, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, went home to meet the Lord at 11:03 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born on April 26, 1961, in Marion, Indiana, to Charles Wendell and Emma Louise (Wray) Pogue. On March 9, 1991, he married the love of his life, Lisa Marie Riley.
He was an electrician by trade and began his career with General Motors in 2002, dedicating 23 years of service to the company. During his employment, he transferred to Chapel Hill, Tennessee, where he made his home. Jeff was also a teacher and mentor to many throughout his life.
A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Jeff’s family was the center of his world. He enjoyed watching Western movies and was known for his remarkable ability to build, repair, and create with his hands. His talents, strong work ethic, and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Above all, Jeff loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lisa Marie Pogue of Chapel Hill, TN; his daughter, Alyson Pogue of Chapel Hill, TN; his sons, Dylan (Alexa) Pogue of Franklin, TN, and Kyle (Brittnay) Pogue of Jackson, MI; his sister, Carol Van Curen of Warsaw, IN; his brothers, Brian (Angela) Pogue of Fishers, IN, and Mark (Melissa) Pogue of Marion, IN; his brother-in-law, Eric Homan; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wendell Pogue; his mother, Emma Louise Pogue; his brothers, Noel Pogue and Ray Pogue; his sister, Joy Homan; and his brother-in-law, Phillip Van Curen.
A graveside service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953.
