Mary Jane Garrison, 88, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 7:12 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born on July 20, 1938, in Wabash, to Guilfred and Estelle Amelia (Riebe) Peebles.
Mary Jane was a graduate of Noble High School. She married Oliver M. Garrison at the Wabash Presbyterian Church on November 9, 1957; he died June 12, 2015. Mary Jane worked at Nipsco and later at First National Bank in Wabash. She was a longtime member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church and the Women’s group of the church. Mary Jane enjoyed scrap booking, genealogy, reading, building doll houses, horses, but above all she adored her family.
She is survived by two children, Diane Weaver of Johnstown, Ohio, and Salt David Garrison of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren, Graham Weaver, Hannah Weaver, Oliver G. Garrison, Colton Garrison, Jake Garrison, and Ella Garrison; great-grandson, Cyrus Garrison; and her sister, Harriet Early McLaughlin of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver M. Garrison, and her infant brother, Dale Peebles.
Graveside services will be private to the family in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
