Robert "Bob" E. Curtis, 76, of Van Buren, peacefully passed away with his family by his side at 8:20 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 21, 1947, to Robert and Margaret (Smith) Curtis. On June 10, 1966, he married Jo A. Smith, who survives.
Bob graduated from Jefferson High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Following his military service, he was a truck driver for 25 years with Red Gold. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cruising, and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jo A. Curtis; daughters, Christina D. Seavers, Cynthia D. Giger of Wabash, Chriscinda D. Curtis of Marion, and Cherilee D. (Michael) Liatos; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marge Strausbaugh and Linda Day.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Scott.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
