Norma L. Foster

Norma L. Foster, 90, LaFontaine, passed away at 9:40 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine.  She was born in Bluffton, Indiana, on Tuesday, December 12, 1933, to Joseph and Vivian (Butler) Duckwall.  She married Thomas E. Foster on April 10, 1964, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2017.  

Norma graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1950.  She was a hairdresser and had worked at Adam and Eve's.  She was a former board member of the Jonesboro Library.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting.  She also loved reading, as well as making baby afghans and quilts.  

Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Mike) Crom of Illinois, Kathleen Lotter of Churubusco, and Jeannie (Steve) Stair of LaFontaine; four granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; and one step-granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas E. Foster; daughter, Teresa Love; step-daughter, Dalena King; and sister, Betty Lou Sturdevant.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Norma's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Brad Wright officiating.  Burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery.
