HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN- On Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at approximately 4:20pm, Harold L. Brandenburg, JR., age 55, of Warsaw, Indiana was the operator of a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was northbound on SR 5 (Goshen Road), approximately ¼ mile north of CR 600 N in Huntington County, when he failed to navigate a curve in the roadway and struck the guardrail. Mr. Brandenburg, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest on the embankment on the east side of SR 5. He was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of multiple blunt impact injuries of the body and his death has been ruled accidental.
The investigation into the crash continues with the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s office. The Huntington County Coroner’s Office extends their deepest sympathies to the Brandenburg family and friends.
The coroner’s office was assisted by the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office, Huntington City Police Department, Bippus Fire Department, Parkview Huntington Hospital EMS, Huntington Central Dispatch, and Pearson’s Wrecker Service.
