Honeywell Arts & Entertainment to present Summer Theatre Camp performances


WABASH, IN – Honeywell Summer Theatre Camps provide students with multi-week experiences as they rehearse and perform a fully staged musical. Talented students in grades 1-4, 5-8, and 9-12 will present theatre performances in June at the Honeywell Center. Tickets are available online at honeywellarts.org or by calling the Honeywell Box Office at 260.563.1102. Summer Camps are sponsored by Halderman Real Estate & Farm Management. Summer Theatre Camps have the support of a team of passionate theatre, education, and artistic professionals.

Grades 1-4: Hats! – June 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Honeywell Center
Honeywell Summer Theatre students in grades 1-4 will present a fun and imaginative musical that follows a lively cast of characters as a collection of magical hats causes mix-ups, surprises, and plenty of laughs. As the hats pass from head-to-head, students explore creativity, cooperation, and self-expression, discovering that sometimes a simple hat can help them see the world, and themselves, in a whole new way. Admission is free; no ticket is required.

Grades 5-8: Disney’s Descendants: The Musical – June 26 and June 27 at 5:00 p.m. at the Honeywell Center
Honeywell Summer Theatre students in grades 5-8 will journey to the kingdom of Auradon. The musical follows the children of Disney’s most infamous villains as they are given a chance to leave the Isle of the Lost and attend school alongside the children of heroes. As friendships form and loyalties are tested, these teens must decide whether to follow in their parents’ footsteps or choose their own paths, discovering the power of kindness, courage, and self-determination along the way. All seats are $10.

Grades 9-12: Hadestown: Teen Edition – June 26 and June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Honeywell Center
Honeywell Summer Theatre students in grades 9-12 will reimagine the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice while intertwining it with the story of Hades and Persephone. Set in a world inspired by American folk music and New Orleans jazz, the musical follows young lovers Orpheus and Eurydice, alongside the powerful King Hades and his wife, Persephone. Together, their stories explore themes of love, faith, and the tension between industry and nature, taking a haunting journey to the underworld—and back again. All seats are $10.
