Step into the stories of Wabash County this summer with Thursday Parlay


WABASH, IN – The Wabash County Museum is thrilled to share its 2026
summer lineup for The Thursday Parlay, our monthly speakers’ series celebrating the
fascinating stories and rich history of Wabash County.

This FREE program is presented with support from Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Services
and Bob Evans Restaurant. Guests who are unable to attend in person can tune to the
Museum’s YouTube channel to watch the upcoming programs, which include:

June 4th @ 10AM: Greetings From The Trail by David Nelson
In June, we welcome David Nelson. A Grant County native, David has been a professional
photographer and journalist for more than 30 years and is currently an editor with the
Indiana Plain Dealer. His “Greetings from the Trail” series captures stunning moments
from his hikes on local trails. Some of these photographs will be featured in the museum’s
new exhibit Waterways of Wabash County.

July 2nd @ 10AM: Abe Lincoln’s Perspective On The 250th by Murray Cox and Jeff Galley
Join us as nationally recognized Abraham Lincoln presenter Murray Cox opens the
program, presented in coordination with our America 250 Civic Season programs, by
bringing Lincoln to life through his engaging portrayal of the 16th president. Following
Murray, Jeff Galley, Museum Curator, will complement the presentation with stories and
artifacts from the collection that celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

August 6th @ 10AM: Wabash Marketplace by Steve Downs
In August, we are delighted to welcome attorney and past director of Wabash
Marketplace/Downtown Wabash Inc, Steve Downs. Steve will share his experiences with
Wabash Marketplace and stories of his involvement with Downtown Wabash
Revitalization over the past 20+ years.

Thursday Parlays are free and RSVPs are encouraged via the museum’s website or by
phone at 260.563.9070. This series provides an opportunity to engage with the local
community through storytelling and history. Don’t miss this chance to experience the
