Marion Community Schools is pleased to announce that the first phase of renovations at the One Marion Center (the former Boys & Girls Club) has been completed. The building now houses the Marion Virtual Academy and MCS’s HYPE Academy alternative program.
MCS took possession of the building after the sudden closure of the Boys & Girls Club of Grant County in August 2025. Since then, the school district has made significant updates to the building at 3402 S Meridian St. to allow for a variety of uses. MCS also announced that Rianne Aguilar will serve as acting principal at McCulloch Junior High School, effective immediately, following Principal James Bell retirement. Aguilar will retain her position as the district’s Curriculum Director while temporarily leading McCulloch. MCS is accepting applications for the principal position.
