PERU, IN- The Miami County Community Foundation recently awarded a grant to the City of Peru to support the development of a National Fitness Court at Riverwalk Park.
The free outdoor fitness space will provide residents of all ages with opportunities to exercise, build strength, improve their health, and connect with others in the community. One side of the court will feature fitness equipment, while the other will offer open space for exercise classes and group activities.
The project is being supported through the Miami County Community Fund, which helps fund initiatives that enhance quality of life throughout the county. By investing in projects like the National Fitness Court, the Foundation continues to create opportunities for healthier lifestyles and stronger communities.
Right now, every $1 donated to a Miami County community fund is matched with an additional $2, tripling the impact of every gift. By supporting these funds, donors help create opportunities that educate, inspire, and benefit local communities for years to come.
