Jerry E. Taylor, 74, Paoli, passed away in his home at 12:48 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, July 7, 1952, to Edwin and Lillian (Morgan) Taylor.
He worked as a Telecommunication Specialist with AT&T. He was a member of the American Legion Post 95- Jonesboro and was a Son of the Legionnaire. He really enjoyed the company of his fur baby, Taylor. He loved riding and restoring Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and drag racing. He also really liked old cars and attending car shows.
Survivors include his brother, James (Tonya) Taylor of Gas City; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and his cat, Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin J. and Lillian Taylor; brother, Joseph Taylor; and son, Jeremy Taylor.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jerry’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
