Mary Ann was born on September 12, 1946, to James and Phyllis (Wiley) Watson. She graduated from Bennett High School in 1964 and spent most of her life surrounded by family in Marion, Indiana.
Mary Ann was a woman of many talents. She was creative and crafty, but her greatest gift of all was her ability to love and nurture. Known for her quick wit, unforgettable comebacks, and sound advice, she had a special way of making people feel cared for. She was lovingly known as “Queen,”, a nickname that suited her and perfectly reflected who she was.
Mary Ann lived a full life, traveling the world on cruise ships with her husband, Jim, attending car shows with friends, and making memories with the family who meant everything to her. Together, she and Jim shared more than 50 years of marriage and raised three children: Kimberly, Amy, and Joseph.
Her love continues through her grandchildren, Kyle, Gabe, Samantha, Jarrett, and Haden; along with her bonus girls, Chassity and Tieisha; and her 16 great-grandchildren, Darionna, Cael, Traiten, Joslyn, Camden, Isaiah, Judah, Daniel, Messiah, Jaevion, London, Ace, Nylah, Novah, Estefan, and Zavion.
Marion Ann is also survived by her loving sister, Cindy (Darrell) Tackett; her brother-in-law, Butch (Susie) Randolph; and her sister-in-law, Jan Miller.
On October 19, 2026, Mary Ann’s earthly journey came to an end. She now joins her parents, her husband, her daughter, Amy, and her grandson, Jacob, in heaven.
Though her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
Mary Ann’s favorites words were, “I loved you first.” As a family, we will forever cherish those words and the unconditional love behind them.
