Anna J. Kinzie

Anna J. Kinzie, 79, Marion, passed away at 12:40 am on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, December 18, 1946, to Robert and Virginia (Pryor) Dalton. On October 15, 1965, she married James Kinzie and he preceded her on November 6, 2021.  

Anna graduated from Mississinewa High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gas City for more than 70 years. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family in Florida and making those special memories together. In her younger years, Anna enjoyed caring for the elderly and helping others.

Survivors include her children, James E. (Sherri) Kinzie II of Marion, Julie Workman of Marion; grandchildren, Cassie (AJ) Knapp, Kinzie (Erika) Workman, Peyton Workman, Kenny Kinzie, Jenny Hauge; great grandchildren, Diana Knapp, Chloe Knapp, Naomi Knapp; and sisters-in-law, Betty A. Dalton and Karen Tomlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kinzie; parents, Robert N. and Virginia Dalton; brothers, Gary Wayne Dalton, James E. Dalton, Sr., Donald David (Cheri) Dalton; and sisters, Valerie “Dodie” Hatfield and Susanne (Zach) Atkins.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Anna’s life will begin at 5:00 pm with Chaplain Don Miller officiating.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
