Julie Ann Holcomb

Julie Ann Holcomb, 82, of Marion, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 15, 1944, to John Foley and Dorothy (Meeks) Meyer. On November 7, 1964, she married Ronald Holcomb and he survives.

Julie moved to Indiana after high school and worked briefly as a telephone operator at Indiana Bell prior to working as a legal secretary for a law firm in Marion, where she continued working at for 15 years. After that, Julie was the executive secretary for Bahr Brothers Manufacturing until she retired. Julie enjoyed collecting antiques and was a vender at Jake’s Antiques Store. She was a long-time supporter of many charitable organizations and donated annually to causes she was passionate about. Julie loved music and participated in the Marion Easter Pageant as a singer in the choir. She always looked forward to playing card games and attending bingo nights and often, was the one calling out “B-I-N-G-O”. But her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and celebrating holidays together. Julie had a deep love for Jesus Christ and was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Marion.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Holcomb, of Marion; daughter, Angela (Gerard) Sandkuhl, of Palm Harbor, FL.; daughter, Jill (Kent) Kriegbaum, of Marion; son, Tony (Christina) Holcomb, of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Catherine (GSM2 John) McGrath, Anthony Holcomb, Julie Sandkuhl, Kyle Kriegbaum (Kayleina Odonnell), 2LT Nicolas Holcomb, Rose Sandkuhl, Sarah Kriegbaum; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Camden, and Liam McGrath; sister, Kathleen (Larry) Holmes, of Jonesboro, AR; brother, Freeman “Bud” (Renee) McCullar, of Marion; as well as many nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Foley; mother, Dorothy Meyer; step-father, William Meyer; step-father, Freeman McCullar; and step-brother, Jim McCullar.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Ave., Marion, IN 46952.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Julie’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Fredrick Hearn officiating.
