Michael Reed, 60, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 1:03 pm, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1966, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Dave and Geneva (Gross) Reed.
Michael married Melissa Lynn Clifton in Wabash on November 11, 1988. He was a dedicated employee at Dalton Foundry in Warsaw, Indiana, where he worked for many years. Mike had a passion for gardening and loved spending time outdoors. When he wasn’t working, he could often be found in the woods hunting or on the water fishing. He was also an avid gun collector who enjoyed reloading his own ammunition. Mike cherished the simple pleasures of nature and the hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Reed of Wabash, three children; Matthew (Carrie) Reed and Brandi (David French) Reed both of Wabash, and Jessica Reed of Jefferson City, Tennessee, granddaughter, Ema Reed of Jefferson City, and his siblings; Claudia Miracle of Wabash, Marcy Shore of Georgia, Lou (Jed) Hancock of Wabash, Mary McCoy of Kentucky, Dave Reed, Jr. of Wabash, Tammy (William) Brown of Kentucky, and Judy (Joe) Roadcap of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Clifton, two brothers, Willie Lackey and George Clevenger, and three sisters, Sharon Wedlington, Carolyn Steele, and Debbie Heinlen.
