Deborah Kay “Debbie” Bowman, 65, Gas City, passed away in her home at 4:50 am on Monday, September 21, 2026, in Gas City. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, December 10, 1960, to Kenneth Jackson and Dondra (Bush) Knight. On June 14, 2001, she married William Edward “Butch” and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2026.
Debbie graduated from Mississinewa and Indiana University of Kokomo where she earned her Bachelors Degree in nursing. She worked as an RN at the VA and with Faithful Friends Home Healthcare. She enjoyed reading and loved her dogs. Most of all, she loved her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Misty Bodkins of Gas City; step-children, William “Butch” Bowman, Jr., Lee Ann (Wayne) Gibbs; grandson, Jeremy Bowman; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Jackson and Dondra Knight; husband, William Edward “Butch” Bowman; step-daughter, Tina Lynn Bowman; and sisters, Tamra Schwyn and Sherri Jarvis.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Debbie’s life will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Noah Farmer officiating. Burial will take place at a later time at Riverside Cemetery.
