Donald Edwin McPeak, 68, of Huntington, passed away in his home at 4:09 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on August 12, 1958, to Charles McPeak and Phyllis (Key) Harner.
Donald was a hardworking man who spent much of his life farming, working at the water plant, and repairing automobiles. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially treasured the time he spent with his family. He loved listening to classic rock and 1980s music and could often be found watching his favorite comedy movies. Donald was known for his quick wit, love of joking with others, and ability to make people laugh. Though he could be shy at times, he possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Above all else, he was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family deeply and took great pride in their lives.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Lewis of Huntington; son, Joseph McPeak; brothers, Robert (Carol) McPeak and Terry McPeak; sisters, Linda Lines and Joyce Hurd; grandchildren, Jade Lewis, Peyton McPeak, Hunter Lewis, Kyla McPeak, Aries Stoner, and Robbie Stoner; significant other, Jackie McPeak; beloved cat, Tesla; several nephews, including Adam McPeak, Jeremy Warner, Jason Lines, and Eric Warner; and a special Aunt, Katherine Wohlheter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles McPeak; his mother, Phyllis Harner; and a baby grandchild.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the visitation, a service celebrating Donald’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Marion.
