INDIANAPOLIS- Recently, the state announced the launch of the Indiana Small Business Program, a new initiative to strengthen the Hoosier small business environment by helping local businesses participate more in state procurement.
Indiana will expand the existing Buy Indiana program, allowing more businesses to qualify to receive points in the procurement process. Additionally, the state will provide technical assistance, training and programming and help set up participating businesses to better compete for state contracts.
The program will also increase the volume of state goods and services procured from Hoosier small businesses. I encourage local small businesses to take advantage of this opportunity.
