Kenneth J. Helvie, 63, of Marion, passed away in his home at 12:29 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, February 21, 1963, to James Helvie and Barbara (Weis) Marcuccilli.
Kenny attended Howe Military Academy and graduated from Mississinewa High School. He attended University of Northwest Ohio for his automotive technician degree. He spent his entire career as a well driller with Helvie and Sons Water Supply Contractors of which he was part owner and also owned Helvie’s Wood Carving Knives for 25 years. He was a member of the EWCC Carving Club in Converse, Indiana. Kenny was a hard worker who was skilled with his hands and won numerous awards for his wood carvings. He enjoyed wood carving, working on old cars, and collecting antiques.
Kenny is survived by his father, James Helvie; mother, Barbara Marcuccilli; sons, Cameron (Kelly) Helvie and Clay Helvie; sister, Beth Cooper; brother, Brad (Tana) Helvie, grandchildren, Jentry Helvie, Lyla Helvie; as well as several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
At Kenny’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
